This wonderful duo is based on a well-known chanson by Claudin de Sermisy.
The composer borrowed the top line of the original composition adding to it a new line. Light divisions are added to the borrowed line, especially on the cadences. In some passages the added line borrows from the model.
Our transcription presents the original score and a transposed version a fourth below. The narrow range of both parts makes them suitable for a wide combination of recorders and other instruments.
