When a piece of music is issued for the first time, its version is «1.00» by default:

Then, it is possible that the music will need some mild corrections or the layout a little refurbishment. In those cases, a decimal figure is added for each intervention to the version (1.10). In case of a major intervention a unity is added (2.00).

Furthermore, its «added or modified date» is updated, so the modified piece will appear at top of the list in the homepage.
