| 14 textless duos by various composers. This was the first collection to use the term «solfeggiamento» in the title-page, though the single duos are constantly labelled «ricercata». There are barlines throughout the whole collection and all the bars are numbered, as you may see from the incipit of each duo. Furthermore, both parts of each duos bear two distinct sets of clefs, allowing the performers to sing the duos either in tone or lower a fifth or a fourth. |
